Ambiguities
Ambiguity is a theme I’ve pursued for over fifty years. Some photographs—when presented without explanation of what’s going on—raise questions: What’s going on here? Where are we? Who are these people? What are they doing?
There are no clear answers, so the viewer can only speculate.

Beyond such visual elements such as composition, atmosphere, mood, the play of light, facial expressions, gestures, and so forth what further elevates the photograph is the mystery, the uncertainty, the puzzle, the ambiguity.
